Adam Trachtenberg, technical evangelist at eBay, will give a brief history of AJAX and the underlying technologies of the AJAX programming approach, including an overview of the AJAX development model. Adam will be able to discuss the key issues of using AJAX as a commerce application, including the technologies and libraries that are used for AJAX and tips on improving user experience delivery. Adam will be able to draw upon his experiences working with eBay's more than 30,000 developers, to educate and provide best practices for using AJAX applications. He will finish the session by building a basic AJAX application using eBay Web Services, sharing code and tips along the way.
