Here is your chance to find out if yours is among the best.

Thank you for your entries. The contest is now closed to new entries. We will announce the winners at the LinuxWorld Open Solutions Summit in New York City.

Successful information projects don't come out of a box or straight from a vendor's web site. Successful projects come from people who understand and identify with a company's business goals, and use freedom-enabled technology to achieve them. That's you, and we want to give you the recognition you deserve.

Today, Linux and open source are driving a renaissance in IT. Instead of waiting for the same locked-down road map that everyone else has, forward-thinking IT professionals are building successful business projects that draw on the powerful network of the open source software community.

Thanks to open source, companies of all sizes can reinvent themselves to be faster, better, and more efficient. Whether you're a small IT operation or the heart of a huge enterprise, we want to hear from you. Please let us know about the Linux project that is making your company or organization work better, and you'll be eligible to win an all-expenses-paid trip to LinuxWorld Open Solutions Summit in New York City.

Winners will be selected in each of five categories

• Sales and CRM
• Manufacturing and ERP
• Training and CMS
• Finance
• Vertical or in-house application

Each solution entered must use Linux along with an open source business application and one or more other open source software components, such as Apache, MySQL, Ruby, PHP, or Perl. All entries will be judged by an expert panel from LinuxWorld and the open source community. The last day to enter is October 10, 2006. Open to U.S. Residents only, 18 years of age or older. Not eligible to enter are employees and the immediate families of Network World, Inc. or any immediate family member of a Judge. This offer is void where prohibited by law.
